CECIP's structure
General Assembly
The General Assembly, comprising of delegates from each member association is the highest decision and policy making body of CECIP. It meets once during each calendar year traditionally around Ascension Day in May in one of the member countries of CECIP. The General Assembly was organized in Prague by CECIP Czech members in 2010 and will come together in Bratislava in 2011.
The General Assembly is responsible in particular for following:
- general policy of CECIP
- election of the Bureau
- appointment of working groups for particular purposes
- approval of accounts and budget
- determination of subscriptions
- appointment of auditors
- modification of statues
- dissolution of CECIP
Presidents
The Presidents of CECIP, elected and appointed by the General Assembly for three years, ensure the co-ordination of CECIP's work and the external representation of CECIP.

Bureau
Bureau comprises of the President, three Vice Presidents, three Members, two Observers (Presidents of the working groups) and the Permanent Secretary. The Bureau is after the General Assembly the second highest decision and policy making body within CECIP. It meets at least three times during the calendar year

Secretariat
The Secretariat of CECIP is located in Brussels. It is in charge of the daily management of the association. The Secretariat is led by Valentina Mauri, Permanent Secretary. Her work is supported by Marleen De Vijlder as assistant. In addition, the Secretariat coordinates the work of two working groups of CECIP organizing and assisting their meetings, which generally take place in Brussels.

Legal Metrology Working Group (LMG)
The LMG deals with the analysis of the relevant regulatory framework and represents the industrial point of view in this legislative process. Furthermore, the LMG participates in the work of international organisations, such as OIML [International Organization of Legal Metrology] and WELMEC [European Cooperation in Legal Metrology].

Business and Trade Working Group (BTG)
The BTG focuses on securing fair competition within the EU internal market, ensuring a proper and uniform control of instruments in service by the relevant authorities. To achieve this goal the BTG collects and analyzes market situation and advocates for the improvement of market surveillance, especially when it comes to customs controls.
