WG MI Meeting at the European Commission
Karlheinz Banholzer, CECIP LMG President, and CECIP's Secretary General, Samuel Schmidt, represented the European Weighing Industry at the recent WG MI meeting hosted by the European Commission. During the session, CECIP had the opportunity to present an overview of the current market size, economic trends, and competitiveness status of the European Weighing Industry.
The message was clear: The fragmented single market in Legal Metrology significantly hampers growth. As highlighted in the Single Market Strategy, the potential for improvement is substantial, and action is urgently needed to strengthen European industry in times of geopolitical and economic turbulence.
CECIP continues its constructive dialogue with DG GROW and Member States to advance harmonization, delivering tangible benefits for both businesses and consumers across Europe.
