Welcoming the new President of CECIP's Legal Metrology Group
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Julian Haller as the new President of CECIP's Legal Metrology Group (LMG).
Dr. Haller studied Physics at the University of Göttingen, where he received his PhD in 2008. He subsequently worked on several European projects related to the metrology of therapeutic ultrasound at PTB, Germany's National Metrology Institute.
In 2016, he joined the metrology department of Sartorius, where he has been working on a broad range of topics covering legal, applied, and scientific metrology. Since joining the CECIP Legal Metrology Group in 2018, he has actively contributed to numerous initiatives and working groups within WELMEC, OIML, and CEN/CENELEC. Among his current activities, he participates in the OIML Digitalization Task Group, the OIML core group responsible for the revision of OIML R 76, and CEN/CENELEC JTC 18/WG 1, which is leading the revision of EN 45501.
His extensive expertise, international engagement, and long-standing commitment to legal metrology make him ideally positioned to lead the LMG at a time when digitalization, software, and emerging technologies are increasingly shaping the future of regulated measuring instruments.
We are pleased to welcome him in this new capacity and look forward to shaping the future of legal metrology together.
